My craving for hand made noodles took me to Bowltiful restaurant. The feel of the freshly made noodles is completely different from the dried noodles. Once you start having the handmade ones it is hard to go back to the dried noodles.
This restaurant is located near the corner of Elizabeth Street and Latrobe street. The place is huge and has a very roomy interior. I entered the restaurant and directly went to order on the counter. The menu is simple and easy. There are very few options to choose from but those choices are customizable. For eg. you can choose the thickness of the noodles that you want, you can add chili oil, coriander, leaks, etc in the soup.
I ordered a beef noodle soup and Special stir-fried noodles. The thickness of the noodles in the soup was 5mm which was the thickest option. For the stir-fried noodles, the standard thickness was 3mm. The service was quick. I love to watch my noodles being prepared in front of me.
The beef noodle soup was delicious. The texture of the noodles was perfect. I loved the chewiness of the noodles. They were cooked beautifully. The soup had lots of chili oil and coriander which elevated the flavor of the soup a lot. The experience of having thick and chewy noodles with the hot and tasty soup was just brilliant. The meat was cooked perfectly but I felt that the quantity of meat in the soup could have been better.
Stir-fried noodles had an amazing flavor. They were cooked with meat and veggies. I loved the beef cooked in the stir-fried noodles. It was soft and tender and added to the overall texture of the noodles. The quality of the noodles was ultimate. It was a big serve and I thought was totally value for money.
I had an amazing experience of trying the dishes here. You must try hand made noodles to feel the difference. I would highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to have a really nice experience of having noodles.
