I felt like having thai food this Sunday and found @Siam Thai restaurant closest to me so I went in for lunch. I should say that food had almost all the Thai flavors in it. The flavor that was missing was the spiciness.
This place is located on the corner of Bourke Street and Russel Street. The walls are beautifully painted which creates a really nice and calm interior. The Menu is big which gives you a lot of options to choose from and has images with the dishes which makes the choice a bit easier.
I ordered Satay Gai which is skewered chicken served with satay sauce and Seafood TomYum Soup with noodles. Both of the dishes were just delicious. The chicken was beautifully cooked, and the satay sauce had a really nice flavor. It was nutty as it had peanuts in it which made a huge difference to the texture of the dish on the whole.
The second dish was the seafood Tom Yum soup with pad thai noodles. which just blew me away. The flavors really took me back to thailand where I had a lot of Tom Yum soup and fell in love with it. I could feel all the spices coming together in the dish, especially the ginger which gave a big kick to the tastebuds. There was a generous amount of seafood in the soup. The only flavor that was missing from the soup was the extreme spiciness that you find in the soups in Thailand. Other than that it felt as if you were having that soup sitting in Thailand.
I liked this place a lot and they have a lot of promotions going on at different platforms where you can find coupons to same yourself some money and still have some great Thai food. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have good Thai food. I think they have made me a fan of their soup and I will definitely go back just to have a bowl of Tom Yum soup.
